With the current corona virus, it can be difficult to look after our mental health. Dizzy and I have definitely noticed it having an impact on ours! So this episode is all about mental health. With lots of tips on how you can also look after yours. 🙂

To start, we are joined by Sabina, who is chatting to us about brain health, and the important of looking after our minds. Then Dizzy and I are joined by Jen and Robert to talk about the impact the corona virus has been having on our mental health and our ideas for looking after our mental well-being! 🙂

Don’t forget to also have a little potter over to Dizzy’s Dotty Team page where you can find out a little more about us all. 🙂

We really hope you enjoy this episode, and please get in touch with any comments, questions or just to say hello. 🙂 We always love to hear from you. xxx

  1. This is great. I know that rescheduling worries works. I learned that if i wake up at night and start going through my worries in my mind I am doomed . No sleep! So I would reschedule and say “I will worry about that for 15 minutes at 10:15 this morning”. It worked pretty well. I also like Sabina’s suggestions of banning conversations on Social Media about CV19 and I found it very interesting to know how our brains work and what part deals with fear and what part with rational thought. Thanks for this I don’t have MS but I got a lot out of it.

    1. I think we’re all had nights like that. They are awful, because the problems just get bigger and bigger and bigger! I remember you saying about having a worry time before, and how well it works. 🙂 I still need to start doing it! x How are you doing during this time? xxx

      1. I’m ok most of the time. Some mornings I am lacking in enthusiasm but we have a ten month old puppy and she is always full of the joy of being alive so that helps.

          1. She is happy and full of energy. Se have been taking her for long walks every afternoon along the forest trails that are near our house. But we are not in tick season and she has had 3 ticks in the last week so no more trails. Now we take her into town as there are not ticks on the sidewalks. Ticks can cause Lyme disease in dogs and so we have to be careful.

          2. Ticks are such a worry. We’ve only ever had one on a dog, and it took us a minute to realise what it was. Mum thought it was a little growth, but then I saw the legs moving!! xxx

  2. I have heard much about the effects on our psychological health both now and after it is over … we have had many incidents of domestic violence here during the lockdown, contributing to even more psychological problems. Very sad and worrisome Heather.

      1. I am about the same Heather and unbelievably have not ventured out for groceries since I last shopped on March 1st. I ordered a few pantry items I was getting low on from Amazon. I may have to bite the bullet and go to the grocery store next week, but we are still bad for deaths and cases here in Michigan. At one time, third highest cases/deaths in the U.S. in our state. Hope you are doing well and getting out a little, but staying away from the stores.

Let us know your thoughts, they always make for a very happy Dizzy :)
