This month Dizzy has been a deep thinking donkey, and has been contemplating both dating and working with MS! 🙂

To start with we are joined by Katie, who is chatting to us all about dating with MS. And then Dizzy and I are joined by Jen and Robert to talk about working with MS, the positives, negatives and everything in between. 🙂

Don’t forget to also potter over to Dizzy’s Dotty Team page where you can find out a little more about us all. 🙂

We really hope you enjoy this months little episode, and please get in touch with any comments, questions or just to say hello. 🙂 We always love to hear from you. xxx

  1. Ever since I lost my soul mate and I am now on the other side of life when I think of looking online for perhaps no seniors who want to date to find a match but seniors looking for companions and friends you know what? I cannot do it I would rather go on alone and live with my memories. That is just how i feel so I know that whatever situation you have to face it is always a difficult one to make decisions like this. There are pros and cons and it is always a very big step to take. For me those days are truly over.Best of luck to you and Dizzy whatever you decide.

    1. Dizzy and I are lucky, as we do have a partner who looks after us (sometimes with exasperation when it comes to Dizzy’s antics… :)). But I think it’s a very personal decision, and you have Sid and Dotty. Animals are truly amazing and make wonderful companions. 🙂 xxx

  2. Heather – I have a high school friend who divorced but wanted to meet a mate and went on Match.com. She met a lawyer and they married about 18 months later. She is very happy and recently retired, only to find two little part-time jobs that keep her occupied until her husband retires in a couple of years.

    1. Aww, that’s such a lovely story. 🙂 I do know a few people who have found wonderful partners online. x There doesn’t seem to be a website for donkeys though… xx

      1. I would have been skeptical (but that is my nature) … no, there is no website for donkeys that we know of right now, but you never know down the line! 🙂

  3. Covering an interesting topic that can be very tricky to traverse with illness. Thanks to all who shared their thoughts & experiences. To Katie – It made me laugh when you described yourself as an eejit but that thing about doing too much when you were more poorly and relapsing seems to common, like we feel guilty for resting when need it, I know I feel that way and push too much and feel worse with it. This Dizzycast has made me think as I guess I’d pushed all notions of dating since my first surgery to one side, then as my health continued to decline it disappeared from my thoughts or hopes for the future altogether.. Brilliant done, all of you! xx

    1. I think pushing ourselves too much is something we all do. We even know we shouldn’t, but it’s so hard not too. x And I always think dating with an invisible illness must be so tricky, but I love that Katie’s story is so positive, and it shows that it doesn’t have to get in the way. 🙂 xx Hope you’re doing ok Caz. xxx

Let us know your thoughts, they always make for a very happy Dizzy :)
