Today is a very special day: it is our little girls birthday – as it was a whole year ago that she arrived at her forever home with us! 🙂
She had had a long journey. We first saw pictures of her in a public shelter in Romania 18 months ago…
Before that she had lived on the streets.
As soon as we saw her, we know she was going to be ours, and exactly one year ago the Happiness Doggy bus (after a 5 day journey) arrived at our front door with our little Willow.
She was very scared: shaking, grumbling, and sick on her new little blanket in the first couple of minutes.
But over the last year she has transformed into an extremely happy girl, who loves doggy life. 🙂
And is now called Princess Willow, as we do spoil her rotten. 🙂 xxxx
Happy B-day Willow! My oldest doggie is named Willow and will be 13 next month 🙂

My dog also lived on the streets for a while before we adopted him from a shelter. He was terrified at first, but watching him slowly open to us and grow has been so amazing. He has been with us for 5 years now, and is such a sweet boy.
Awww, rescued doggies are just wonderful. Willow is definitely getting more confident, and it is so amazing to see. She did her first proper barks today! And then went round looking very proud of herself for the next hour. 🙂 xxx
