Dizzy’s discovered how to make protein bars! We really like these as they have a soft/chewy consistency that we haven’t yet been able to find with other ones! They are also super yummy! 🙂 (Dizzy scoffed the first lot all in one go…)
Dizzy’s delicious protein bars:
Ingredients:
- 200g almonds (whole of flaked)
- 8 dates
- 2 tablespoons peanut butter
- 6 scopes of chocolate flavoured protein powder or 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder
- Water
How to make:
- Mix together almonds and protein/cocoa powder in a blender
- Then add in the peanut butter and dates to the mixture and blend together
- During this time start adding in 1 tablespoon of water at a time to the mixture until a dough like ball forms
- Wrap the mixture in cling film and flatten
- Pop in the freezer for 15 minutes
- After this time cut the mixture up and pop into the fridge until you’re ready to eat them 🙂
Second batch. We were going to have one at a time but Dizzy decided it was best to eat these all in one go too….xxx

Thanks! I am saving this because I will make them in Florida to have during the show season when I often need a bit of protein but not a full meal. And I love anything chocolate.
Let us know how you get on with them. That’s what I like them for. I need to snack throughout the day so these are perfect. 🙂 I love anything chocolatey too. 🙂 xxx

Yum, and easily made GF with the right protein powder. I am allergic to tons of things, but oddly not peanuts!
