This month me and Dizzy have been thinking about disclosing to other’s when you’re diagnosed with a chronic condition such as MS. 🙂
In this episode we chat to Jen and Robert about their views and opinions on telling others. 🙂 We’re also joined by Michael who talks to us about life with primary progression MS.
Don’t forget that you can also potter over to Dizzy’s Dotty Team page, where you can find out more about Michael, Jen and Robert 🙂
We really hope you enjoy this months episode. 🙂 xxx

A lovely episode – I’m Vicki, Michael’s wife and it’s very odd to hear him on a podcast! Lovely episode and well done on these podcasts, they are really getting the word out there !
Thank you Vicki! Really glad you liked the episode. 🙂 xx We really enjoyed chatting to Michael and really appreciate him giving up his time to take part. 🙂 xxx
Love it!! I adore that intro jingle too. Interesting issues around medication. I did struggle with the sound a little at some points as voices seemed very quiet (around 23 mins) turned it right up though and was fine. Well done guys, you’ve shared some very personal, very important experiences 🙂
Caz x
Lol! I love that little jingle. Glad I’m not the only one, as I’m aware I let it run for a while…. 🙂
And thank you for the comment about the sound. I’m still struggling abit with the technical side of it, but think I do finally understand why it is quieter. Hopefully! So should be sorted for the next one. 🙂
Thanks for listening and commenting Caz, we really appreciate it. 🙂 xxx
Love this! Thank you so much for sharing this 😊😊 xx
Thank you Hannah. Xx Really glad you liked it. 😊xx

Thank you so much Alyssa. Xx Hope you’re having a great week and sending Dizzy hugs. 🙂xx
My pleasure sweetie! I hope you and Dizzy have a great week! Keep Dizzy away from the brownies:)!!
It’s impossible to keep Dizzy away from brownies! 🙂 🙂 xxx
Too cute and funny! Dizzy is sweet enough to share though!!
Ah mate, I am learning so much from your Blog.
As for me, when I was sick I didn’t tell anyone. I kept things to myself.
I think it is so brave to disclose.
Mel and Dominic x
Thank you Mel and Dominic. 🙂 I kept it to myself for ages so completely understand why people do.
How are you and Dominic doing? Is Dominic still loving Aussie life? 🙂 xxx
We are doing good mate, yep he loves living down here. He goes every where with me, I’ll have to post another video of him on you tube lol
We’d love to see another video of him! We’ve missed not seeing Dom recently. Xxx
Thank you everyone for a very interesting podcast. I got a lot out of the “telling people” part. Like you I have had a bad experience at work and left a part time job to aid my well being.
Shine Through is a rather uplifting song – a good reason for a wee dance around the kitchen! xx
Thank you so much Brigid, we’re glad you enjoyed it. I’m sorry you had to leave a job because of a bad experience aswell. It is such a relief when you get out of the situation though.
I thought so too! I’d really like to finish each one with someone someone has made, like a poem or song, so this was the first one including that. 🙂 I love having a dance around too. 🙂
Hope you’re having a wonderful day. 🙂 xxx
Hi Heather I forgot to ask how you are doing ? Are you feeling any better?
It’s abit up and down but I think overall i’m doing better. Thank you. 🙂xx
Thats good to hear. I’ m glad 😊 xx
So, appreciating it.
When I first became symptomatic, and I was on the job for close to 10 years, and I was a contractor – my line has always been “It’s not cancer, it’s not contagious, it’s not terminal and it doesn’t effect my brain.” Since the place was huge, people would run into me and say “OMG, OMG what happened to you?” My response “Oh, I’m just falling apart.” That job eventually used it as an excuse to let me go. Attorney said, only firm she had heard of taking away reasonable accomodation. I was also up in the air about declaring disability on applications. I have definitely lost jobs because of the perception
Thank you for commenting. I’m sorry they used it as an excuse to let you go and actually took away reasonable accommodation. That’s awful. I really struggle with what to put on application forms. I do now usually tick the box on the equal opportunities form, but a lot of places now aswell send out a medical questionnaire. It is just another stress.
Hope you’re doing ok. Sending Dizzy hugs. 🙂 xxx
