Dizzy had a very exciting Christmas day yesterday, going to a little wildlife hospital and volunteering for the morning. 🙂

Me and Dizzy’s job involved cleaning out, weighing and feeding the hedgehogs!

The hedgehogs seemed very lively, we think they were getting into the Christmas spirit of things. 🙂

Dizzy was very good! She didn’t seem keen on the idea of cleaning but she was very helpful with weighing the hedgehogs…

Dizzy thought she better weigh herself first to make sure the scales were working properly.

Then she got onto finding all the correct food!

This was Dizzy’s favourite job! She gave all the hedgehogs extra food as a little Christmas treat. 🙂

But then Dizzy went missing…

She’d found the staff room covered in Christmas food! Dizzy said she was too tired to finish the last of the hedgehogs. She didn’t seem too tired to be nibbling her way through all the food though… 🙂

Luckily there were only a few hedgehogs to finish and pop back into their little houses for the rest of Christmas day. 🙂

    1. We’ve done it the last few years. Means a nice little outing in the morning and then lazy/relaxing afternoon and evening. 🙂 The hedgehogs are so just cute. 🙂 Hope you’re having a lovely Christmas. xxx

  1. Sounds like a wonderful day. I think Dizzy is similar to many youngsters. My Gransdson is easily distracted by treats. I shall be showing this post to my husband because this morning I was looking at some blog posts and he said ;” how’s the lady with Dizzy the little donkey?” I have shown him some of your osts before!

    1. It sounds like your Grandson and Dizzy would get on well! Dizzy couldn’t believe it, the whole table was covered in treats! 🙂 That’s really kind of your husband to ask, I hope he likes the hedgehog pictures. 🙂 xxx

  3. My husband and I used to do hedgehog rescue until his health deteroated and we couldn’t care for them anymore. My husband passed away 12/14/2017. He would be very pleased to know there are others have picked up where he left off. Bless you for taking care of the hedgies.

  4. What a wonderful way to spend the day! It sounds as if you and Dizzy enjoyed your work.😊 I’m absolutely crazy about animals and would have been thrilled to take care of those adorable little guys. I notice Dizzy didn’t waste any time finding those snacks.😄 Have a great week!
