At the weekend, Dizzy and I were watching Lord of the Rings (our favourite film!) with Sid, when Willow appeared with a little question on her tag. 🙂

Seeing that little face, there was no way I could say no! 🙂

A few days later and Dizzy has already taken the ring for herself! She has also been looking up Donkey Sanctuary Weddings. 🙂

Which I think I would rather like. 🙂

Where did you get married/What did you do? And were there any donkeys? 🙂 xxxx

  1. Aww congratulations! We got married nearly three years ago at an old converted flour mill, it was a beautiful day. Even though inwardly I was struggling with ms fatigue and pain I was so happy and it showed! Hope your day is wonderful when the time comes!

    1. An old converted flour mill sounds a stunning location! I am already thinking about the fatigue side of things, so am hoping a scheduled nap will be able to be fitted in. 🙂 xxx

  2. Awww this is so sweet! Huge Congratulations! (Adorable doggy as well!) For my second wedding we kept it small (only around 75 or so people) and got married at a fancy club located at the top of a 28 story building. It was wonderful!

  3. Congratulations! Animals are great messengers. I was married to my soul mate for 20 wonderful years until he passed on and I would have been delighted to have had at least 20 more years. His passing was unexpected and even after four years it has not gotten easier. Having someone to love and care for is the most wonderful thing to happen and it takes you on unexpected journeys always holding on to your loved one’s hand. May your journey be equally happy and joyful.

    1. Thank you. xx I am so sorry that you lost your soul mate though. I don’t think it’s possible to get over something like that happening. x What did you do for your wedding? xxx

    1. Thank you Cathy. So far we are thinking donkey sanctuary or in a wood. Very small, with WIllow our doggy as the flower girl. 🙂 What did you do for yours? xxx

          1. Be my guest. I dont know if they exist in all parts of the Uk as it depends on the history of the region, but Gloucestershire is rich in them, which probably means the pesants gave a lot of tithes to some rich lords – somethings dont change!

  4. HUGE Congratulations! That was the sweetest and most adorable proposal! I wish you nothing but the best and all the happiness in the world. Weddings can be overwhelming and expensive, but as long as you make it all about the two of you, everything will be perfect! I love planning weddings and proposals. I helped my mother’s fiancé do the perfect proposal and she was shocked! If you need any help, please let me know. I know we do not live close, but there is only an ocean between us!!

    1. Thank you so much Alyssa. xx We are planning on just a little wedding – maybe at a donkey sanctuary! 🙂 How did your mum’s partner propose? 🙂 And thank you so much for the offer for help. I will definitely keep it in mind. xxx

      1. You are more than welcome! I am sure your wedding will be perfect and beautiful. He proposed on New Year’s Eve after the clock stuck midnight. I am just a message and ocean away, but I would do anything I could to help you!! xxx

  5. The best news. Congratulations and I agree with Cathysreal above. A smaller and simpler wedding is less stress and you will both be off to a great start . I speak from 37 years of experience having started out will a small wedding in our own living room.

    1. Thank you Anne. x And we are planning on a very small wedding. But I would like it at a donkey sanctuary with our dog as the flower girl! 🙂 Your one sounds lovely – how many people did you have there? xxx

  6. My husband and I got married at Culzean Castle. I didn’t want to be walked down the aisle and this castle had a double stairway! While my husband assured me there was deer in the woods non approached anyone in the wedding party. It was still a glorious evening.

  7. I’m so happy for you Heather and what a creative and sweet way to pop the question. I’ve never been married so can’t offer any suggestions – I hope you take photos of the big day to share with us!

          1. Well you’re well suited and as long as Dizzy approves, then go for it. 🙂 Glad you liked the Easter card Heather. My Easter was quiet as it’s just me – I went to the Botanical Gardens to see what they had blooming so far to see in a post as I knew it was going to snow the nxt day. I hope yours was relaxing and you didn’t have to cook a big dinner.

Let us know your thoughts, they always make for a very happy Dizzy :)
