It’s been a tough year, but we hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas.  🙂

Dizzy and I are planning a day of eating gingernut biscuits, watching Christmas films and napping. What will you all be up to? We would love to know, and to hear from you over Christmas 🙂

And for our Christmas Giveaway, the winner is…. LINDA She was right in guessing that Dizzy has 3 ginger nut biscuits a day, as even when I don’t get up in time for breakfast, she sneaks down for her morning biscuit. I also dread to think how many she secretly eats without my knowledge… 🙂 xxx

  3. A quiet Christmas is good any ol’ year, not just during a pandemic in my opinion. As a homebody anyway, I’ll enjoy some quiet time. Thanks for recognizing my lucky guess and mentioning my blog as well Heather. So … do I know Dizzy all these miles away, across the Pond, or am I a secret gingernut biscuit lover as well?       1. Pizza sounds good and dessert of ice cream and ginger nut biscuits too. I will miss the egg nog this year, first year not to have it as I have not gone shopping since mid-November. I don’t have any perishables in the fridge … I never put anything in it, but I love that rich, creamy taste. Oh well – next year I’ll get two quarts of it! It is a quiet night for me, trying to catch up here on WordPress, but there are lots of fireworks going off and it’s only 8:15 – wait until midnight, might as well not go to bed before 1:00 a.m. as they keep shooting off fireworks a good hour after midnight.   7. Happy Christmas to you and to Dizzy. We had a quiet day here as due to the lockdown there are just the two of us: my husband and me. We did a video chat with our son who is in London, England and heard all about what he had cooked for Christmas Eve dinner. Later we had a video chat with our daughter and watched our Grandson open the present we had given him. He is six years old and it is train that you have to build. He was very excited about it. His older step brother will be coming to their house later in the day. and they get on well, so he will help him put it together. We made a turkey dinner with all the trimmings and made up a plate for the person who lives in the basement apartment. She was taking the extra turkey dinner to her sister and they would eat together. It was a lovely day and had no stress at all!!🎄😀

      1. We will be home tonight and my daughter has planned a WhatsApp video party . We have to wear something fancy or formal or weird. There will be Charades and they are eating sushi and we have shrimp and smoked salmon. We won’t be taking part in all of their party but will just check in. I am hoping maybe our son in London can check in as well. Our daughter has her son, husband and two step daughters so they will all have a grand time. Best wishes for a healthy and peaceful New Year for you and Dizzy.

  9. I hope you and Dizzy had a wonderful Christmas Day! We stayed quietly in due to the restrictions in our neck of the woods…we drank tea and ate chocolate before making a simple pasta meal with a gift of freshly made pesto…we enjoyed a Sanpo Stroll on YouTube taking us back to London where we spent part of our holidays last year, it was lovely, sigh…

      1. I really enjoyed the Tolkien film! New Year’s Eve was rung in with a glass of sparkling wine and a simple supper (slices of organic turkey pie, a coleslaw side with mandarin segments and a root vegetable side), we’re currently catching up on the very exciting The Last Kingdom series and watched an episode before midnight!

        We loved the Tolkien film! Our New Year’s Eve was quietly beautiful, we enjoyed delicious slices of organic turkey pie with glasses of sparkling Prosecco…
