Me and Dizzy are venturing into the land of podcasts (this could be something we do once and never speak of again…) but for now we’re feeling exciting!
We’ve been busy planning away and now we’ve got our episodes planned out we’re on the search for people who would love to join us and take part in our episodes. This can either be as a one off appearance or a more regular occurrence (depending on how long you can put up with me and Dizzy for). 🙂
Our podcast is based on MS and chronic illness but we’re super happy to hear any ideas. So if you fit into one of the following and would like to take part please leave us a comment or email us at dizzythedonkey@gmail.com
- Guest interview – about your life and experience with chronic illness
- Guest interview – an aspect, experience or topic based around chronic illness
- Group Discussions – First one will be on fatigue but any topic ideas please get in touch or if you would like to take part in future ones. 🙂
- Any topics you think could benefit people. Even if you don’t have a chronic illness but are super knowledgeable on something like relaxation techniques or yummy cooking we’d love to hear from you
- Just any happy/inspirational stories you’d like to share. 🙂

I would love to be a part of your podcasts. Sounds like a lot of fun! You have followed me for several months, so you probably could tell where I fit best!
That would be great to have you involved Jo!! I’m just making a list and will then get back to you. Would you mind please sending us a quick email just so I have it? dizzythedonkey@gmail.com Thank you! 🙂 xxx
Oh yes, I will!
Thank you. 🙂 xxx
I think this is a terrific idea. I do not have a chronic illness but have survived colorectal cancer and now live happily with a permanent colostomy. I also have Systemic Scleroderma which has been in remission almost completely since a year after the cancer surgery 18 years ago. SSc is a horrible autoimmune disease that affects the skin, stomach and can affect lungs heart and kidneys. My remission is apparently extremely unusual.( literally only a handful of people in the world have had a remission like this and they had stem cell therapy which I did not) SSc is an autoimmune disease in the same sort of family as lupus or rheumatoid Arthritis. It affects the collagen in the body and causes scarring. I hesitate t o say I would speak about it because they do not know why I have had this remission. They are hoping they will find a way to test me but so far they do not know what to test for. I don’t want to get people’s hopes up when they don’t have an answer yet. Anyway I’d be happy to do something if you would like me to on surviving cancer or living with an ostomy.
That would be lovely to have you involved Anne. Your story with Systemic Scleroderma is amazing but I understand not wanting to give people false hope. I’m so glad it went into remission with you. Something on your surviving cancer and riding again would be really nice if that’s something you would be happy to talk about. I would love to have positive/hopeful stories included. 🙂 xxx
I would be more than happy to talk about it. Cancer has such a tough psychological overtone even in the word. I hope to give people hope that it is not a death sentence and there can be plenty of life after a cancer diagnosis.
That would be brilliant. I know a few people who have experienced cancer and it is such a terrifying diagnosis. I will send you an email next week. Thank you again Anne. 🙂 xxx
I am not sure if I would qualify, but I have a congenital condition (medullary sponge kidneys), which means I have chronic kidney stones (EVERY SINGLE DAY), that will NEVER go away. I have had 4 lithotripsies since February and am constantly passing sand/gravel. There is no cure, I just have had to learn how to manage it and the pain that often accompanies it.
That sounds so difficult to live with. It would be really good to do something on it and how you are able to help manage the pain. If it’s ok I’ll make a note and get back to you a few episodes in. 🙂 xxx
I’m happy to be involved if anything I do with interiors and design and disability is of interest? Also I’m sure my husband would like to be involved from the PPMS perspective – it’s almost a different condition. Good luck, great idea.
Thank you! Will definitely keep that in mind for a future episode as something on interior and designs would be really nice. It’s not something I would have thought off! 🙂 xxx
What a *fab* idea! If you’d like to hear my ramblings with PPMS then I’d love to help.
Hi! That would actually be fantastic to have a discussion (or ramblings, which we always love:) )on PPMS for one of the episodes and your experiences with it. 🙂 Could you please drop me an email at dizzythedonkey@gmail.com ? Thank you. 🙂 xxx
Awesome idea! Congrats to you and Dizzy! Looking forward to your podcasts! ❤
Thanks Felicia! 🙂 Hope you enjoy them when we finally get the first one out. 🙂 xxx
This will keep Dizzy and you busy. Good luck!
Thank you. And it’s definitely going to do that! 🙂 But have wanted to do it for ages and kept fussing around so we’ve decided to finally get on with it. 🙂 xxx
Good luck on your new venture!! It’ll keep Dizzy out of trouble at least 😉
That is definitely true! And thank you. 🙂 xxx
I am so happy for you and Dizzy doing the podcast! The two of you are going to do a great job. I really want to listen to this! How do I listen to your podcast?
Thank you! I will let you know when the first one is out. Am aiming for the middle of September. 🙂 xxx
I am so excited for you and Dizzy!!!!
I’m so excited for this, it sounds like an amazing idea! I don’t have a chronic illness but if you count it I would be happy to talk about mental illness and how that can have physical effects as well XX
Thank you! Just hope it turns out ok. 🙂 I’ll definitely keep you in mind for future episodes (after the first couple focusing on chronic illness) as mental health is so important. Would be great to have you involved. 🙂 xxx
What a great idea. Good luck with it
Thank you. 🙂 xxx

That’s a great step to take – Podcasting, when it comes to blogging. Congrtaulations!
Thank you! Hoping it turns out ok but am excited about it. 🙂 xxx
It’s going to be very great. I’m looking at when I’ll be able to go into podcasting, but it’s not in view yet. Like my post this morning, I’ve tried to make an audio to go with it, but I couldn’t upload because I need to upgrade, though I’m going to do that by October when the blog is a year old. I really felicitate with you for the possibility of Podcasting. It’s a kind of breakthrough when it comes to blogging. Best regards!
That’s really exciting. Make sure you let us know when you decide to aswell. 🙂 I have wanted to do it for a while because I love the idea of then being able to get other people more involved and I do think listening to things is always nice because it can do it anytime. 🙂 We’ll have to see how it goes! 🙂 xxx
