Me and Dizzy have been on an adventure. An adventure to see dinosaurs!! Roarrrrrrrr!!!

Dizzy was very excited about this, and she was determined to meet all the dinosaurs, and find out all about them! We also decided this was the perfect opportunity to finally do a post on dinosaurs…. So off (Interviewing) Dizzy went to introduce herself, and ask the dinosaurs a few questions about, well, being a dinosaur!

Dizzy met big dinosaurs!

Dinosaurs lived on Earth for 165 million years.

Dizzy met little dinosaurs!

Most dinosaurs were human sized or smaller. Baby Mussaurus was the smallest dinosaur. You could have fitted him inside your shopping bag. 🙂

Dizzy met scary dinosaurs!

Most dinosaurs were vegetarians.

Dizzy met shy dinosaurs!

Dinosaurs lived on all continents, including Antarctica.

Dizzy met happy dinosaurs!

The dinosaur with the longest name was the Micropachycephalosaurus.

Dizzy met sociable dinosaurs!

It is thought that some dinosaurs lived for up to 200 years.

Dizzy met unsociable dinosaurs!

Over 700 species of dinosaurs have been identified, but it is thought that there could have been thousands.

Dizzy met appeared-a-while-ago dinosaurs!

The brightest dinosaurs was the Troodon, and the not so brightest one was the Stegosaurus.

Dizzy met not-yet-appeared dinosaurs!

All dinosaurs built little (some big!) nests and laid eggs. The smallest egg (known) being 3 cm’s, and the largest egg being 19 inches.

And Dizzy met baby dinosaurs!

Dinosaurs (very likely) evolved into birds! Which means we are still surrounded by dinosaurs today. 🙂

Dizzy had a wonderful day! 🙂 And has decided that the Argentinosaurus (the biggest veggie dinosaur!) is her favourite dinosaur! Something about them both sharing a love of ginger nut biscuits… 🙂

What’s your favourite dinosaur and do you have any dinosaur facts that Dizzy can add to her list? 🙂 xxx

    1. Hehe, Dizzy seemed to be completely oblivious to how dangerous dinosaurs can be! I think most of them could have eaten her in one bite! But she didn’t seem to notice. 🙂 xxx

    1. I always like the veggie dinosaurs the most, but that’s because I’m a veggie! 🙂 I’ve heard that too! Dizzy doesn’t seem to get too concerned about that sort of thing though. 🙂 xxx

  1. That looks like a great day out and how wonderful that Dizzy went with a note pad and pen in order to interview anything which stood still long enough!

Now I’m not the sharpest of pencils so Dizzy might very well have shared this information already and I’ve totally missed it .. . but. . . would Dizzy be willing to share where this magical land of those friendly Dinosaurs is?

Fabulous post, both! Great read! ~ Cobs. xxx

  2. Dizzy — you were so brave. Your kind, calm spirit was rewarded with unexpected friendships. I loved hearing about your adventure. You are a beautiful fearless girl!

  3. Dizzy is a lot braver than most of us if faced with a set of choppers like most of these dinosaurs have. You gave us a lot of interesting facts and figures on dinosaurs and I have always been fascinated with dinosaurs, and though I’ve not been to a museum in some time, the dinosaur exhibit was always my favorite. I did not know that dinosaurs evolved into birds … I know I’ve seen that one dinosaur that looks like an oversized pelican and he (or she) really resembles a bird. I think those big and healthy-looking teeth with no cavities that I can see is because they are vegetarian and eat healthy, but … if they eat ginger biscuits, I bet they don’t get cavities because last week you and Dizzy told us ginger is good for us … does Dizzy have cavities from eating ginger biscuits? I think I like T-Rex the best and that’s because I am tall and I feel petite next to him. Thank you Heather and Dizzy for a most-enjoyable post – this looks like a fun place to go visit. 🙂

    1. I’ve always been fascinated by dinosaurs too, and it’s always been the first place I’ve headed for when at the museum. 🙂 x Dizzy didn’t even think she was being brave. She was so excited and I think in her head, she’s a very big donkey! I have asked Dizzy and she said no cavities, ginger nut biscuits are only good for you, including good for your teeth… 🙂 I personally am not quite sure how true that is. 🙂 xxx

      1. You made me smile. Yes dinosaurs are exciting – all those years ago what happened. I’ll look later at a blogger I follow who writes about travels, as he went to a park where dinosaurs actually walked. When I get the link to that blog, I’ll forward it to you. Very interesting. One of the bloggers I follow (Tom Peace) is interested in dinosaurs and also fossils which he collects. He posts fossil pictures every so often. I sent him the link of the dinosaur park where dinosaurs actually roamed, and he enjoyed the post. Right after I wrote you about the dinosaurs, I heard this ad on the radio, so I Googled it. When you win the lottery, here’s a great Christmas present for yourself (or Dizzy) … it is about $250.00 in American money! But how clever is this Heather?

        1. Please do send us the link to the dinosaur park blog. That sounds amazing! xx And me and Dizzy love the robo dinosaur! She’s adorable. I’ve told Dizzy she better start saving. 🙂 xxx

          1. I’ll look right now for it -he has not posted recently – have to think what the name of the blog is. It is interesting – he is in the travel industry and takes wonderful trips. Wasn’t that robo dinosaur incredible … she pats it on the nose or head and it was just like a dog!

          2. The dinosaur tooth is absolutely amazing! I can’t believe how much detail there is on it. It’s so beautiful too. Thank you for finding it for me. xxx

          3. You’re welcome Heather – going forward, any dinosaur tidbits that pass my eyes, will go to you as well. Now you know why I forwarded the link of the dinosaur footsteps to Tom. I knew he would appreciate it as you do. It is amazing enough to see the footprints where dinosaurs walked (or stomped) but a tooth that was actually in their head – that is just too incredible for words.

          4. I find the tooth the same, it’s just amazing! And I can never believe that something like a tooth can still be here, looking so perfect, after all these years. 🙂 xxx

          5. I have been to England back in 1979 with my parents, but we never visited Stonehenge – wish we had. We stayed in Surbiton, Surrey in a bed and board and took daily trips into London and then took a day trip to Dover to see the cliffs, but no Stonehenge unfortunately. It sure looks like the dinosaurs might have walked through there as it looks so prehistoric.

  4. What an amazing visit! Where was this?
Dizzy had some great photo ops, love the one with the dino poking his head out between the grass as Dizzy’s sat opposite. It’s incredible to think of these creatures walking the earth, yet so hard to really imagine.
    xx

    1. It was Wingham Wildlife Park, just outside of Canterbury in Kent. https://winghamwildlifepark.co.uk/ It was a lovely place to visit, and just so many dinosaur! 🙂 They do have other animals there too. 🙂
I find it the same. Just the idea of them roaming around, especially the huge ones! And the fact that they were exactly where we are now. It’s fascinating. xxx

Let us know your thoughts, they always make for a very happy Dizzy :)
